If you are new to Keenai and use the MAC photos app to store your photos and would like to import them into the Keenai application there are some steps to be aware of to keep from getting duplicate photos in Keenai.
Settings for iCloud
You will need to set up your iCloud service to make sure that your photos are downloaded to a folder on your Mac.
- Using Launchpad, or your applications folder, launch the System Preferences application and choose iCloud
- Select iCloud Photo Library and select Download Originals to this Mac
- Select iCloud Photo Sharing
Using the Keenai applications to import your photos
Keenai Desktop applicaion
Once your photos are downloaded to your Mac you can download and configure the Keenai Mac Desktop application using the instructions found here in the Setting up Keenai Desktop application for Mac support article
Keenai Web application
You can also drag and drop photos from your desktop using the Keenai web application. The steps can be found in the Drag and drop photos into the web application support article.
If you are using the Keenai mobile application on your mobile device it is important to know that you could get duplicate photos imported into your Keenai cloud account.
If your mobile device is configured to automatically upload your photos from your phone to both Keenai and iCloud your photos will be imported automatically into both services from your phone. When you have configured your Mac to download the photos from your iCloud account and you have configured the Keenai application to automatically upload to Keenai, you could get duplicates from your phone and your desktop.
While Keenai does suppress duplicates, it is possible to get duplicates if the photo changes from any of these applications.
