Keenai video support allows you to see photos and videos on the same timeline and to create vivid stories that combine stills and motion. Original resolution videos are automatically synced and secured in Keenai and available for streaming at 480p resolution using the browser on any connected device.
How do I add videos to Keenai?
If you have an active Keenai membership, you can add videos to Keenai in several ways.
- WiFi connected device: If you are using a supported WiFi enabled card or camera, both original resolution pictures and videos will transfer to your paired smartphone, tablet, or computer. Once the pictures and videos are transferred to the device they will sync to the Keenai service.
- Drag and drop via web browser: You can log into your Keenai account via the Keenai web application on your computer to drag and drop videos into your web browser. Files are subject to a maximum file size of 100MB (as restricted by the browser).
- Mobile device: If you are filming videos on your smartphone or tablet, those new videos will sync to Keenai if the feature is enabled to allow the Camera Roll or Gallery to upload to the Keenai mobile application. Once the pictures and videos are transferred into the application they will sync to Keenai. Existing videos in your Camera Roll or Gallery are not added to Keenai.
- Desktop: If you have configured 'Watch' folders in the Keenai desktop application, videos placed in your watch folder will be uploaded to Keenai.
Will all my Camera Roll and Gallery videos automatically upload to Keenai?
The Keenai application for Android, iPhone, or iPad allow users to configure their phone or tablet to upload from the Camera Roll or Gallery with the Allow Imports setting. If Allow Imports is turned on, new videos will be imported from the time the feature is turned on and then uploaded to Keenai. Keenai does not import your existing videos from your Camera Roll or Gallery (that is, videos that were created before you turned on the Allow Imports setting).
What type of videos are supported?
Keenai supports original resolution video uploads. Most popular video file formats are supported, including MOV, MP4, MPG, and AVI. Playback streams at 480p.
Is there a limit to the size of the video I can upload to Keenai?
You can upload short-form videos up to 15 minutes in length to Keenai.
How many videos can I upload to Keenai?
Keenai members can upload up to 300 short-form videos each month.
How can I view the videos I upload to Keenai?
You can stream Keenai videos to mobile devices in the Keenai application. You can also stream videos in web browsers via the Keenai web application. Unlike with images, you must have an internet connection to view videos stored in Keenai.
How do I archive videos to my desktop?
Once videos are uploaded to Keenai they are synced to all of your devices that have the Keenai mobile application installed. Videos can also sync to the Keenai desktop.
Can I create and share albums that have videos and pictures?
Yes. You can organize videos right alongside pictures and create albums to share. Share recipients can stream the video as they view the album. They must be connected to the Internet to view the videos.
